About Octonify

Decision Intelligence built around operational reality.

Octonify is a Decision Intelligence company. We help organizations make better use of operational information and develop digital systems around defined business problems.

Our initial commercial focus is medium-sized organizations in Sweden, with an international direction. We choose work based on its operational fit and the opportunity to create useful, observable value.

Better decisions depend on the information behind the work.

Organizations may have reports, software and large amounts of data while still finding it difficult to establish what is happening or decide what to do next.

The challenge often lies in how people use information across workflows and systems, whether that information is reliable enough for its purpose, and who owns important actions and decisions. Octonify works across these connections.

Start with the problem and the value to be created.

Technology should address a defined operational or decision need. Octonify first aims to understand the people affected, the intended outcome and the constraints around the work.

  1. Make information fit the decision

Information should be reliable enough for its intended use. What that requires depends on the decision and context.

  2. Use the structure the work needs

Use structure to improve clarity, coordination, accountability or information quality while leaving room for the work to adapt.

  3. Match Automation and AI to readiness and risk

Automation and AI can increase speed and scale. The information, workflow, rules, ownership and human oversight should be appropriate to the risk of the work.

  4. Keep responsibility clear

People remain responsible for important business rules, exceptions, decisions and outcomes. Systems should make it possible to understand and address issues when they arise.

  5. Make improvement observable

Use a reliable baseline where one exists. Where it is absent, state what can be observed instead of claiming a result that has not been measured.

Develop capability through real problems.

Octonify’s Decision Intelligence capability develops through real work. Depending on the problem, an engagement may involve operational foundations, Data & Analytics, reporting, Automation, AI or decision support.

Not every engagement needs every capability. The problem and available evidence guide what to develop.

  • Operational foundations

  • Data & Analytics

  • Reporting

  • Automation

  • AI

  • Decision support

Lean Six Sigma and Agile as working principles

Octonify applies complementary Lean Six Sigma and Agile principles according to the work. An engagement may include defining the problem, understanding the current state, investigating causes where needed, testing a useful intervention and learning from real use.
